It was always a source of great joy to me and my twinnie that we had our boys so close together. The boys were always the best of friends and my dear Godson David always had a special place in my heart. The highest praise I can offer is that he was always ,'an affa fine loon'. After Vida passed, David was so good to me - the family visit to Cape Town in 2015 will always be the most wonderful memory. David was always such a good looking lad; a keen and talented footballer and a wonderful nephew. Always kind, with a wicked sense of humour, which will be sorely missed. Unusually for a Scotsman from the North east, he never hid how much he loved his family; particularly Val whom he adored and Finn who was his pride and joy. While I cannot believe this devastating news; I know one person who will always be by David's side and I hope she is smiling down now on all of us; with a whisky in one hand and her bairnie in the other.
